Pamoja Occasion Organisers Limited Company Launches a Cold Beverage made from Coffee.

MOSHI-KILIMANJARO

The Pamoja Occasion Organisers Limited company, based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, has launched cold beverages made from coffee.

The launch of this beverage took place on September 9, 2024, alongside the fifth edition of the Coffee Festival (Kahawa Festival-2024), held at the auction hall of the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB).

Speaking at the launch event, the Director of Pamoja Occasion Organisers Limited, Vicent Mulungwana, said the production of cold coffee beverages has increased demand for the drink, with many people who previously avoided it now embracing the product due to its great taste.

“This beverage is consumed by everyone, from children to adults. Users can benefit from the drink in various ways, including combating diseases such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, and aging-related illnesses, thereby allowing people to live longer lives,” he said.

He further explained the additional health benefits of drinking coffee, noting that it helps improve memory, protects liver health, reduces stress, and combats various diseases.

Mulungwana stated that cold coffee helps improve blood circulation and maintains body and blood warmth. Additionally, it aids in preventing stomach ulcers, restoring pancreatic function, and cleansing fat accumulation in the intestines, which facilitates better digestion and increased water intake, ultimately improving blood circulation.

In addition, Mulungwana praised the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB) for continuing to promote the consumption of coffee among Tanzanians to enhance their health and boost the domestic market for the crop.

“Thanks to TCB’s continued efforts to encourage Tanzanians to consume local coffee, there has been a significant shift towards using domestic coffee products,” he said.

When launching the fifth season of the Coffee Festival (Kahawa Festival-2024), the Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner, Nurdin, commended Pamoja Occasion Organisers Limited for producing this beverage, which will increase local coffee consumption.

“Coffee is an economic and staple crop for the Kilimanjaro region and the country as a whole. Promoting the culture of coffee consumption will significantly strengthen our domestic market and reduce dependence on the international market. When global prices fluctuate, they directly affect farmers’ income and the country’s economy,” said Nurdin.
